Saying goodbye to someone you love is never easy...
No one wants to think about the sadness of losing a family member or friend but inevitably, sooner or later, we all do. A personal ceremony can provide comfort to those who are bereaved and be a fitting tribute to the one who has passed away.
A memorial service following some time after the deceased has been cremated can be a possibility, especially if not all the family members are able to be present at the time of loss. This may be held in a place that is special to the deceased or at any venue of your choosing.
My main focus is to provide the best possible service to the family by giving a respectful and appropriate funeral ceremony. I can meet with you and create a ceremony that meets your needs, reflects the attributes of the one you have lost and, if you wish, involves family and friends in an appropriate role.
A personal funeral, a celebration of life, or a memorial ceremony can be a fitting tribute to the one who has passed away remembering, acknowledging and celebrating their life and achievements, and grieving their passing. It will provide comfort to those who are bereaved by giving them a time and safe space to acknowledge their grief and loss. This is an important step in the grieving process.
Some people feel comforted by planning their own funeral service. This often occurs when they know that their life will end due to age or a terminal illness. They want to provide consolation for their family by planning a service that is the one they would want. They may also wish to relieve their family of the emotional burden of arranging a funeral service.
I welcome the wonderful, healing experience of working with anyone who is planning his or her funeral service. Working together with me and their family, an individual can take this very comforting step of planning their own funeral ceremony. This person has the opportunity to write their own eulogy, if they wish, choose poetry or readings that reflect their feelings on leaving their loved ones behind, and choose music that they love and is meaningful to them.
